NORMA KERSHAW AUDITORIUM | LECTURE
Presented by Dr. Donald P. Ryan, Fellow of both the Explorers Club and the Royal Geographical Society, and an archaeologist affiliated with the College of Liberal Studies at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington
The Pacific Lutheran University Valley of the Kings Project investigates the smaller, undecorated tombs in Egypt’s New Kingdom royal cemetery. Over the years, the team has excavated 11 tombs, uncovering fascinating finds, including a possible mummy of Hatshepsut (KV 60), two royal women (KV 21), and even animal burials (KV 50–52). Project director Donald P. Ryan will share insights into these remarkable discoveries.
